BONNIE BUBBLES
DISCLAIMER AND TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: [21/07/2026]
These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases from Bonnie Bubbles through our website, social media, messaging services, markets, craft fairs and other direct sales channels.
Separate provisions for shops, retailers and wholesale customers appear in Section 17.
1. Business information
Bonnie Bubbles is operated by:
Legal business name: [MATHESON SERVICES LTD / OTHER LEGAL NAME]
Trading name: Bonnie Bubbles
Registered or principal address: [11 LOVAT ROAD CROWN INVERNESS IV2 3NT]
Company number, if applicable: [713303]
Email: [sales@bonniebubbles.com]
Telephone: [+44 7746 825 489]
In these Terms, “Bonnie Bubbles”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business identified above. “Customer”, “you” and “your” refer to the person or business purchasing our products.
2. About our products
Bonnie Bubbles produces and sells handmade cosmetic and bathing products, which may include soaps and bath bombs.
Because many of our products are handmade, minor differences may occur between batches. These may include variations in colour, pattern, shape, weight, fragrance intensity and decorative finish. Such minor differences are normal and will not usually mean that a product is faulty.
Product photographs are provided as accurately as reasonably possible. Colours may appear differently depending on lighting, photography and the customer’s screen settings.
Products are sold by their stated approximate weight. Handmade products may experience a small amount of natural weight variation or moisture loss over time.
3. Cosmetic-product disclaimer
Our products are cosmetic products intended for normal external use only and must be used in accordance with their labels and instructions.
Unless a product is specifically labelled otherwise:
-
do not eat or swallow the product;
-
avoid direct contact with the eyes;
-
do not use on broken, inflamed or severely irritated skin;
-
keep products out of the reach of children and pets;
-
supervise children when they use bath products;
-
stop using the product if irritation, discomfort or an allergic reaction occurs; and
-
seek appropriate medical advice if a serious or continuing reaction occurs.
Our products are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Information provided by Bonnie Bubbles about ingredients, fragrance or product use is general product information. It is not medical advice and should not replace advice from a doctor, pharmacist or other suitably qualified professional.
Nothing in this disclaimer limits the customer’s legal rights or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. Allergies and sensitivities
Customers are responsible for reading the full ingredient list and all warnings provided on the product or packaging before use.
Our products may contain, or be produced in an environment where we handle, ingredients including:
-
essential oils;
-
fragrance oils;
-
naturally occurring fragrance allergens;
-
plant, fruit, herb or seaweed ingredients;
-
colourants and mica;
-
nut-derived or seed-derived oils and butters; and
-
milk-derived or other animal-derived ingredients where stated.
A product being described as “natural”, “handmade” or containing essential oils does not guarantee that it will be suitable for every person or skin type.
Customers with allergies, highly sensitive skin, eczema, another skin condition, pregnancy-related concerns or uncertainty about an ingredient should consult an appropriate medical professional before use.
Where appropriate, perform a small patch test before wider use. Stop using the product immediately if irritation occurs.
Please contact us before ordering when you need further information about a product’s ingredients.
5. Bath-product safety
Bath bombs and similar products may contain oils, butters, colourants, botanicals or other ingredients that can make a bath or shower surface slippery.
Customers should:
-
take care when entering and leaving the bath or shower;
-
rinse the bath after use;
-
remove loose botanical material where necessary;
-
avoid contact with porous, damaged or unsealed surfaces; and
-
follow any warnings supplied with the product.
Some colourants, petals, botanicals or oils may temporarily leave residue on a bath, particularly where the surface is worn, porous or already marked. Clean the bath promptly after use.
6. Product information and availability
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, prices and availability information are accurate.
We may correct an obvious error in a product description, price or availability status. When an error affects an order already placed, we will contact the customer and offer the choice of:
-
proceeding with the corrected information;
-
choosing an alternative product; or
-
cancelling the affected item for a refund.
All products are subject to availability. Placing an order does not guarantee that a product is available.
7. Orders and contract formation
An order submitted through our website, social media, email or messaging service is an offer to purchase the selected products.
An automated acknowledgement or message confirming that we have received an order does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.
A binding contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of the order or dispatch the products, whichever occurs first.
We may decline or cancel an order for a legitimate reason, including:
-
the product being unavailable;
-
incorrect pricing or product information;
-
inability to authorise payment;
-
a suspected fraudulent transaction;
-
restrictions on delivery;
-
the customer not meeting an applicable age requirement; or
-
an order exceeding available production capacity.
When payment has already been taken for an order that we cannot accept, we will refund the amount paid.
8. Prices and payment
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling and include VAT where legally applicable.
Delivery charges and any other applicable costs will be displayed or communicated before the customer completes the order.
Payment must be made using an accepted payment method. Products will not normally be dispatched until cleared payment has been received.
For sales at markets, fairs or other physical locations, payment is due at the point of purchase unless otherwise agreed.
We are not responsible for charges imposed independently by a customer’s bank, card issuer or payment provider.
9. Delivery
We will deliver products to the address supplied by the customer.
Customers are responsible for checking that their delivery details are complete and accurate before submitting an order. Additional delivery costs arising from an incorrect address may be charged to the customer where lawful and reasonable.
Any stated dispatch or delivery date is an estimate unless we expressly agree that a particular date is essential.
We are not responsible for delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will, however, take reasonable steps to inform the customer and minimise the effect of the delay.
Customers should inspect their order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and notify us promptly of missing, damaged or incorrect products.
10. Consumer cancellation rights for distance orders
This section applies to consumers who order through our website, telephone, email, social media or messaging service without meeting us in person.
Subject to the legal exceptions, customers may cancel an order without giving a reason from the time the order is placed until 14 days after the day on which the products are received.
To cancel, the customer must clearly tell us of the decision to cancel by emailing [sales@bonniebubbles.com] or writing to [11 Lovat Road Crown Inverness IV2 3NT].
After telling us about the cancellation, the customer must return the products without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us.
Unless the products are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning them.
Customers should obtain proof of postage and package returned products securely.
We may reduce a refund where the customer has handled a product beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop and that handling has reduced its value.
11. Hygiene-sealed and personalised products
The statutory right to cancel may not apply to:
-
sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons after the seal has been broken;
-
products made to the customer’s specifications;
-
clearly personalised products; or
-
products that deteriorate or expire rapidly.
Where soap, bath products or cosmetic products are supplied with hygiene or tamper-evident packaging, they cannot normally be returned under the change-of-mind policy after that packaging has been opened or broken.
This section does not affect the customer’s rights when a product is faulty, unsafe, damaged or not as described.
12. Refunds following cancellation
When a distance order is validly cancelled, we will refund:
-
the price paid for the returned products; and
-
the standard outbound delivery charge, where the whole order is cancelled and the law requires it.
Additional delivery charges chosen by the customer, such as premium or express delivery above the standard delivery option, are not refundable unless required by law.
We may withhold the refund until we receive the returned products or the customer provides evidence that they have sent them back, whichever occurs first.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
13. Purchases made in person
For products purchased at a market, craft fair, event or another physical sales location, there is no automatic change-of-mind return right unless we expressly offer one.
We may, at our discretion, offer an exchange or credit for an unused and unopened product returned with proof of purchase.
This discretionary policy does not affect the customer’s statutory rights when goods are faulty, unsafe, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.
14. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products
Customers have legal rights in relation to products that are faulty, unsafe, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
Please contact us at [sales@bonniebubbles.com] as soon as reasonably possible and provide:
-
the customer’s name;
-
the order number or proof of purchase;
-
a description of the problem; and
-
photographs where they will help us assess damage or an incorrect item.
Depending on the circumstances and the customer’s statutory rights, we may provide a refund, replacement or another appropriate remedy.
Nothing in these Terms removes or restricts rights provided by applicable consumer law.
15. Storage and product lifespan
Customers must follow any storage instructions shown on the product.
Unless the label states otherwise, products should generally be:
-
kept in a cool, dry place;
-
protected from excessive heat, moisture and direct sunlight;
-
allowed to dry between uses where applicable; and
-
used within the period stated on the packaging.
We are not responsible for deterioration caused by incorrect storage, exposure to water before use, contamination, misuse or continued use beyond the stated product period.
16. Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful. This includes liability for:
-
death or personal injury caused by negligence;
-
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
-
defective products where liability cannot lawfully be excluded; or
-
breach of a customer’s statutory consumer rights.
Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for loss or damage caused by:
-
failure to follow the product label, warnings or instructions;
-
use of a product for a purpose for which it was not supplied;
-
continued use after irritation or an adverse reaction becomes apparent;
-
failure to check the ingredient list despite a known allergy or sensitivity;
-
incorrect storage or handling;
-
normal handmade variations; or
-
events outside our reasonable control.
For consumer purchases, we supply products for private and domestic use. We are not liable for business losses arising from a consumer purchase, including loss of profit, business interruption or lost commercial opportunity.
17. Wholesale and business customers
This section applies when products are purchased for resale or for another business purpose.
17.1 Wholesale orders
Wholesale orders are subject to our acceptance, product availability and any minimum-order value or quantity stated in our wholesale quotation or price list.
A wholesale order becomes binding when we issue written acceptance, an invoice or an order confirmation.
17.2 Wholesale prices and payment
Wholesale prices, payment dates, deposits and delivery charges will be set out in the relevant quotation, invoice or wholesale agreement.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment must be received before dispatch.
Late payments may result in suspension or cancellation of undelivered orders. We may charge statutory interest and reasonable recovery costs where legally permitted.
17.3 Wholesale lead times
Production and delivery dates are estimates unless expressly agreed in writing as fixed deadlines.
Handmade products may have minor variations between batches. Wholesale customers must allow for reasonable handmade differences in appearance, colour, fragrance and finish.
17.4 Inspection and claims
Wholesale customers must inspect goods promptly after delivery.
Claims concerning shortages, transit damage or incorrect products should be submitted in writing within [5] business days of delivery. Hidden defects should be reported promptly after discovery.
The customer should retain the products and their original packaging while a claim is being investigated.
This notification period does not exclude rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
17.5 Resale obligations
Wholesale customers must:
-
store and handle products in accordance with our instructions;
-
retain all legally required labels, batch information and warnings;
-
not alter, repackage, relabel or tamper with products without our prior written approval;
-
not make medical, therapeutic or misleading claims about the products;
-
sell products in a clean, safe and appropriate condition; and
-
promptly inform us about any serious complaint, suspected adverse reaction, product-safety concern or regulatory enquiry.
Products must not be sold after any stated expiry, best-before or period-after-opening requirement makes them unsuitable for sale.
17.6 Wholesale cancellation and returns
Business customers do not receive consumer cooling-off rights.
Accepted wholesale orders cannot be cancelled or changed without our written agreement. Where we agree to a cancellation, the customer may be responsible for reasonable costs already incurred, including ingredients, packaging, labour and personalised materials.
Unsold wholesale stock cannot be returned unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or non-conforming wholesale products will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the written wholesale agreement.
17.7 Wholesale resale prices
Any recommended retail price is a recommendation only unless a lawful written arrangement states otherwise. Independent retailers remain responsible for setting their own resale prices.
18. Reviews and customer content
Customers who submit reviews, photographs or other content must ensure that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe another person’s rights.
We will not use identifiable customer photographs or testimonials in marketing without an appropriate lawful basis or permission where required.
We may remove content from our own website or social-media pages when it is unlawful, abusive, misleading, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent or unrelated to the product.
19. Intellectual property
The Bonnie Bubbles name, branding, product names, photographs, website content, label designs and written materials belong to us or are used with permission.
They must not be copied, reproduced, altered, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.
Retailers may use product photographs and descriptions supplied or approved by us solely to advertise genuine Bonnie Bubbles products during the period in which they stock those products.
20. Personal information
We use personal information to process orders, take payments, arrange delivery, provide customer service, meet legal obligations and operate our business.
Further information about what information we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it and the customer’s rights should be set out in our separate Privacy Notice.
We do not sell customers’ personal information.
Marketing messages will only be sent where we have an appropriate lawful basis. Customers may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
21. Complaints
We aim to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.
Complaints should be sent to:
Email: [sales@bonniebubbles.com]
Address: [11 Lovat Road Crown Inverness IV2 3NT]
Please include the order number, proof of purchase, an explanation of the issue and the resolution requested.
We will acknowledge and investigate the complaint within a reasonable period.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our products, business practices or legal obligations.
The Terms applying to an order will normally be those available or provided when the order was placed. Changes will not retrospectively alter an existing contract unless required by law or agreed with the customer.
23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
24. Waiver
A delay or failure by us to enforce a provision of these Terms does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.
25. Third-party rights
Unless these Terms expressly state otherwise, no person other than the customer and Bonnie Bubbles has a right to enforce them.
26. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the laws of Scotland.
Consumers resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain any mandatory protections provided by the law of the part of the United Kingdom in which they live.
The Scottish courts will have jurisdiction, subject to any legal right a consumer has to bring proceedings in another competent UK court.
